Don’t make tech an afterthought - Consider the technology you’ll be fitting in the room at the planning stage or you’ll end up with messy cables running everywhere. This looks ugly and is a dangerous trip hazard, too. Try wall-mounting a TV to free up space, or conceal it inside a cupboard.

Kind of like that TV area could serve as space for other art, and also function as seating if TV not being used.

It looks like a tv mount that would normally rise out of a cabinet, rotated upside down. Example of a large trendy master bedroom design in London with beige walls and light hardwood floors.

If you are not planning to open up walls, consider mounting the speakers high on the wall and installing crown molding to hide the wires. They should still be run in wiremold to protect them, but you won't have that unsightly channel running around the room. Attach the mount to blocking. If you plan on mounting the TV to the wall, you will need to open up at least that part of the wall and install solid wood blocking so you can attach it.
